1Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) has created an exciting summer enrichment opportunity to encourage students to learn beyond the classroom. SummerT.I.M.E (Thrive, Inspire, Motivate and Engage) is a series of summer learning experiences designed to allow students the opportunity to participate in positive learning and engage in various fun-filled Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) activities.  These experiences will provide students in grades K-11 an opportunity to develop skills employers and colleges are currently looking for in STEM literate individuals such as creativity, critical thinking, innovation and systematic problem solving while also providing SAT/ACT prep session for students in grades 10 and 11 and more. SummerT.I.M.E Learning Camps are free and will be located at various school sites throughout the district.  In addition, CCPS is also offering instructional options in reading for students in grades K-12 and in Mathematics for students in grades K-8.  With support and guidance from parents/guardians, students will be able to complete the instructional activities from the comfort of their home, or from any location, independent of a CCPS educator.

“We are very excited to provide this opportunity to our students during the summer,” stated Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Morcease J. Beasley. “We are always looking for creative ways to STEMulate our students and engage them in activities that will continue the learning process beyond the school day. I think this initiative will be of great benefit to our students as they return to school in August as well as prepare for college/career opportunities.”
