Clayton County Public Schools Welcome AdvancED Engagement Review Team

The team's visit, March 18-21, 2018, brings to focus more than a year of preparation by district-level and school-level personnel.

"We are excited that the visit is actually happening,” said Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, CCPS Superintendent and CEO of Schools. “Our administrators, teachers, and staff are eager to share with the Engagement Team the story of being committed to high performance that is Clayton County Public Schools.”

AdvancED, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), serves as a third party that monitors and reviews standards and processes needed to meet the unique needs of public school students. The eleven-member Engagement Review Team's visit is the culminating activity of the renewal of CCPS's district-wide five-year accreditation.

During this three-day visit, the Engagement Review Team will visit campuses and review volumes of district data and artifacts. The team will also participate in conversations with school employees, community leaders and citizens, and members of the Clayton County Board of Education.

"We are confident that the Engagement Review Team will see, in all aspects of our work, that our employees and our community are committed to bringing Clayton County Public Schools to a place of educational prominence not only in the Metro Atlanta region, but throughout the state of Georgia, our nation, and world,” Dr. Beasley added.
