STEM: The STEM+ Explorations: Drones and Sustainability Camp/Flying Classroom (2-5) will focus on the core ideas of how drones and sustainability can work simultaneously to solve global challenges. Referencing the drone port currently being constructed by the Norman Foster Foundation in Rwanda, students will engage in an advanced project-based learning unit that will challenge them to build an environmentally sustainable drone port for their community based on community needs. Student Explorers will use STEM+ expeditions that focus on solar energy, drones, flight, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and sustainability in order to successfully complete their drone port.
