Online Student Registration - Mount Vernon High School

The new online registration system will alleviate many of the tasks that lead to long lines and additional time for students, parents, and staff. The process to register and enroll a new student can be time-consuming. Once parents complete forms, school personnel are responsible for manually entering the information into the student information system. This is a labor-intensive task for school staff who are challenged with completing other duties while still charged with providing quality customer service.

The online registration system allows parents to pre-populate their child's enrollment information and confidentially upload scans or PDFs of forms like birth certificates or immunization records to create their preliminary enrollment record. The system also uses the information to determine the student's school of attendance based upon the residency document submitted and will directly forward to the school site.  Parents will then visit the school to complete the enrollment process and present residency documents and student documents, such as documentation supporting proof of age, social security cards, and immunization records, to staff to review and confirm their authenticity.

The online enrollment system is provided in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and nine other languages to support the needs of our families.  Paper forms are still available for parents without computer or internet access, or they can use a computer at the school site to begin the enrollment process.
