Reminder: Division of Student Support Services Annual Summit Opening Session

The Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Division of Student Support Services invites employees across the district to the opening session of its Annual Summit, which will be held virtually on Tuesday, July 21, 2020.  Our theme for 2020 is "Supporting the Redesign for a Culture of High Performance." 

 

The opening session, which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., will include a welcome from Dr. Sandra Nunez, Deputy Superintendent of Student Support Services, and an address to staff by Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, CCPS Superintendent/CEO. Following Superintendent Beasley will be the guest speaker for the 2020 Summit, Mr. Manny Scott

 

Mr. Scott is an original Freedom Writer whose story is told in part in the 2007 hit movie Freedom Writers. Through his educational consulting firm, Ink International, Inc., Manny Scott has energized almost two million leaders, educators, volunteers, and students worldwide with his authentic, inspiring messages of hope. Through his inspiring messages, Manny Scott has empowered nearly two million people to improve the quality of not only their own lives, but also the lives of those around them. He has helped hundreds of organizations raise student achievement and leader effectiveness in 49 states and five continents; and, he has helped prevent thousands of dropouts and suicides. 

 

Please read:  To access the opening session, you will need to pre-register using the platform link that is provided in the attached Manny Scott flyer. This can be done immediately. Once this process has been completed you will receive a notification email that gives you access to the General Session. It is suggested that you access the Manny Scott platform at least 15 minutes (8:45 a.m.) prior to the presentation tomorrow, July 21, to ensure that you are linked in properly.

 

Mr. Scott’s presentation is scheduled to end at 10:30 a.m. Following Mr. Scott’s presentation, the summit will proceed as scheduled for district-level and school-level leaders.
