Over the past year, Clayton County Public Schools has developed a close partnership with Dangers of the Mind, in which we have sponsored multiple events to support our students, parents, and community members in conjunction with our Social-Emotional Learning Initiative. In celebration of Women’s History Month, Dangers of the Mind, in partnership with The Urban Assembly will be hosting a free event for all girls, aged 13 to 18 years old.

On Thursday, March 25, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., girls will gather from around the world to hear powerful women speak about self-confidence, self-management, responsible decision making, and more. This Social-Emotional forum is designed to empower our girls to see beyond their current circumstances and own their voice during these unprecedented times.

Dr. Ralph Simpson, Deputy Superintendent of School Leadership and Improvement, is strongly recommending that every young lady, aged 13 to 18 years old, be encouraged to participate in this empowering conference.  Students who provide proof of registration for this event, will not receive an unexcused absence.  Please see the attached flyer and the registration link below for the upcoming Dangers of the Mind x Urban Assembly Virtual Girls' Conference 2021. Again, this is a FREE event, so please register today using the link below:
