Nichelle Williams
Nichelle Williams was born and raised in the small mid-western city of LaGrange, Georgia. For her undergraduate studies, she attended Tuskegee University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She later obtained a master’s degree in Science Education from The University of West Georgia.
Nichelle is a proud graduate of the CCPS TAPP program, and began her career as an educator at Riverdale High School. During her over 20 years of dedicated service to the students, staff and community of Clayton County Public Schools, she has had the privilege of teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Human Anatomy, and Environmental Science. Additionally, she had the distinct honor of being chosen as the 2010 RHS Teacher of the Year, and the 2016 Star Teacher. Nichelle developed her leadership skills by serving as the RHS Science Department Chair from 2008 until she joined the Department of Professional Learning in 2017 as a Teacher Development Specialist.
As a member of the distinguished team of Teacher Development Specialists, Nichelle Williams supports teachers throughout the district by providing professional learning opportunities in the areas of Technology for TAPP Teachers, Effective Instructional Planning, and the K-5 Science Endorsement. As a member of the District Social Emotional Learning Team, she has a focus on Culturally Responsive Practices.
Some of her hobbies include reading, shopping, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
