Sharelle Rogers received a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix and was a successful business professional in sales and marketing before responding to an intrinsic calling to the field of education. To facilitate her career change to the role of a teacher, Ms. Rogers elected the alternate pathway through the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (TAPP) program in 2015. Exemplary teaching pedagogy, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to her school, community and the TAPP program distinguished Ms. Rogers as an exceptional leader. In 2017, she was awarded with the prestigious award of TAPP Ambassador and continues to serve on the TAPP Advisory Committee.

Ms. Rogers has served in Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) for six years as a committed early childhood educator. She welcomed the opportunity to work with diverse student populations including English Language Learners, minority students, socioeconomically challenged students, students with disabilities and other exceptional learners. Ms. Rogers obtained the Reading and Math endorsement and has a proven ability to reduce and close achievement gaps in literacy and numeracy Georgia State Standards by means of high quality instructional planning and delivery. She has successfully provided support to struggling students by participating in the Early Intervention Program (EIP) as a Self-Contained EIP teacher serving students at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level. Ms. Rogers also holds a Gifted endorsement and has served high potential students by creating an academically challenging environment in which her students were developed to become self-directed learners.

To further contribute to the professional growth opportunities for herself and others, Ms. Rogers attained the Teaching Leading and Coaching endorsement and began her support and development of other educators by serving as a mentor for CCPS as well as serving as Cooperating Teacher through the University of Phoenix teaching preparation program. Ms. Rogers also served as Math Department Chair and Social Studies Content Lead Integration Specialist which involved providing first line of support for all of the teachers within her school in need of content specific instructional support. Currently, Ms. Rogers performs as a Teacher Development Specialist and continues her passion to support and develop others with their professional learning goals.
