CCPS to Close Indefinitely Due to COVID-19 Effective March 16

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) District Officials have announced the closing of all schools until further notice beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020.  This decision is based on the recommendation of the Superintendent after monitoring national and local reports regarding the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). As a precaution district officials are preparing for all possibilities regarding the spread of this virus as well as enhancing preventative measures to safeguard the students and stakeholders of Clayton County Public Schools. These actions are in alignment with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), the State Board of Health and the Clayton County Board of Health (CCBOH). Clayton County Government has reported to the school system that there is one confirmed Coronavirus case that is not related to the school district. The district continues to work collaboratively with the Clayton County Government and the Clayton County Board of Health as it monitors this pandemic to take actions as appropriate.
