Ms. Jada K. Dawkins

Jada K. Dawkins currently serves as Chief of the Communications, Marketing & Public Relations Division in Clayton County Public Schools. As the Chief of Communications, she oversees the management of all district-wide marketing and communication functions/strategies. In addition to managing staff and community relations to expand stakeholder support to the school district, she is also responsible for supervising multiple functions with high-level accountability for effective operation and results. With over 20 years of proven experience in public relations, media affairs, customer relations and event planning, Ms. Dawkins previously lead the Public Relations and Constituency Services Division of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior Court’s Office.  Among the many significant positions held throughout her career, she served as the Director of Community and Media Affairs for District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit of Fulton County, Georgia as well as the Public Information Officer to former District Attorney Gwendolyn Keyes-Fleming in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit of DeKalb County, Georgia.  

 

Ms. Dawkins is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, the Public Relations Society of America, as well as a former board member to Bauder and Westwood Colleges. Ms. Dawkins is a graduate of Talladega College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration.
