Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) leadership is sharing a report from the National Weather Service indicating that conditions associated with a system providing rainfall today, April 13, may increase in strength as low-pressure approaches. The main risk to our area may be damaging gusting winds that could produce isolated tornadoes and locally heavy rainfall during the evening and overnight hours.


Families are advised to prepare students who are participating in evening activities for the potential conditions by dressing them appropriately in rain gear, including umbrellas if available. 


While the school district will continue to monitor conditions throughout this afternoon and evening, we encourage everyone to be safe and stay connected for updated information regarding any potential weather issues through the following outlets:
