Sharicka Reddick’s path begins in Orlando, Florida, the home of Disney World. While eventually moving to Jonesboro, Georgia, she had the opportunity to go to Clayton County Public Schools from Elementary to High School. After graduating from Jonesboro High School, she attended Georgia State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Business. Being a product of Clayton County Public Schools, Sharicka felt the need to support the community where she was raised. She continued her education and received two additional degrees, a Master's in International Business and a Master of Arts in Education where she focused on K- 8th with concentrations in Math and Social Studies. 


After teaching for seven years, Sharicka Reddick returned to CCPS to continue supporting her community where she also received certification in ESOL, Gifted,  Teacher Support, and Coaching, as well as her Tier 1 Certification. In 2021, she received one of the highest honors in education when voted as the Teacher of the Year for Clayton County Public Schools District! As her 13th year in Education, she is currently serving as a Teacher Development Specialist (TDS),  where she continues her passion for helping teachers grow by igniting their curiosity as well as fostering a love of educational enhancement by going beyond the call of duty.   


Prior to receiving her current role, she taught grades 2nd through 8th grade. As an educator, she played crucial roles in her schools to bridge the gaps and build community. Roles include Pedagogical Leadership Team, Assessment Team, New Teacher TAPP Mentoring, SST Team, P.B.I.S. Team, as well as the Technology Committee. Sharicka Reddick focused on creating professional developments in the areas of Technology enrichment of Interrelated Academic Strategies,  Data analysis as the Assessment Lead in areas such as Illuminate and MAP Nwea, TAPP Mentor, and New Teacher Academy Mentoring programs. She also delivers professional developments and collaborations on various topics: Professionalism, Classroom Management, Data Analysis, Incorporating Data to Guide Instruction,  Instructional Planning, Differentiated Instructions, as well as Rigor/Relevance Training


Sharicka also enjoys being with her family and traveling in her spare time. She enjoys fishing, camping, and visiting historical parks as well as museums. She brings her love for travel back into her daily life as a Teacher Development Specialist to build on real-world engagement. When she is not traveling, working, or with family, she works with the Douglas Brothers Foundation as a Lead Volunteer who assists with the organization’s community outreach. She is dedicated to positive development, and she uses creative methods to sustain her commitment to learning, collaborating, and instilling growth in others.
