Ribbon Cutting for Morrow High School | July 28, 2022 - 6 p.m.
The Clayton County Board of Education and Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) are proud to announce a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the newly constructed Morrow High School (MHS). The ceremony will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the new campus, 4930 Steele Road in Ellenwood. The event starts at 6:00 p.m.
MHS was designed by the architectural firm of Perkins and Will and was constructed by Meja Construction Inc. The new school will open for students on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 – the first day of the 2022-2023 school year for CCPS.
Please note that Clayton County Public Schools has implemented a face mask/covering mandate for all employees and adult campus/facility visitors. Masks/face coverings will be REQUIRED for all individuals to gain entry into CCPS building locations (offices, school sites, and facilities) until further notice.
Special Note: The school can be accessed off of I-675 at either the Forest Parkway (Exit 5) or Anvil Block Road (Exit 7) exits.
Take I-675 to the Forest Parkway Exit (Exit 5). If traveling south on I-675, turn left at the top of the ramp. If traveling north on I-675, turn right at the top of the ramp. Follow Forest Parkway to the Stagecoach Road intersection. Turn left onto Stagecoach Road and continue to Steele Road. (East Clayton Elementary School should be on your right.) Turn right onto Steele Road and continue to the traffic circle turning right onto the Morrow High School campus.
Take I-675 to the Anvil Block Road Exit (Exit 7). If traveling south on I-675, turn left at the top of the ramp. If traveling north on I-675, turn right at the top of the ramp. Follow Anvil Block Road roughly 2.5 miles to Steele Road. Turn right on Steele Road and continue to the traffic circle. Morrow High School is located on the left.
