This is the image for the news article titled CCPS High Schools to Participate in Perfect Pitch CompetitionClayton County Public Schools (CCPS) will participate in the first annual high school Perfect Pitch Competition, sponsored by Primerica, Inc., Clayton State University, and Clayton County Public Schools’ Department of English Language Arts. Competitors are required to provide a brief explanation of how they can benefit a potential employer or college by persuasively explaining their unique traits, experiences, skills, and accomplishments. The benefits of this competition include exposure to public speaking, development of persuasive communication techniques, building self-confidence, promoting strengths and talents, and cultivating team collaboration.  Ten Clayton County Public Schools high schools will have teams compete in the competition for monetary awards and trophies.
The high school teams consist of select juniors and seniors.  Each team member will deliver his or her most perfect pitch culminating in a call to action for acceptance into the college of their choice or for a job interview.  In addition to their delivery, the judges will score the teams based on their attire and the availability of professional materials such as résumés, cover letters, and business cards.  Local community business leaders, recruited by Mitch Johnson, Regional Vice President for Primerica, Inc., will judge the competition.

This is certainly an event not to be missed! Come watch our students passionately vie for college entry and/or the career of their choice. Witness our high school teams compete with confidence and fervency, and see who brings home the first place championship award!
