Clayton County Public Schools is excited to remind parents and students of our Clayton Reads Summer Reading initiatives. We want our students reading books of interest for at least 30 minutes a day to continue to grow their reading skills for the upcoming school year. There are so many ways that our students can read this summer: They can:
  • Visit any Clayton County school to grab a free book from the Little Free Library, which is located in a small bookcase on a stand on the outside of our schools.
  • Access our summer reading lists for each grade level at  tinyurl.com/claytonreads-summer and click a cover to open the eBook in eRead Kids!
  • Request a public library card at tinyurl.com/publiclibrarycard and check out both print or eBooks from any Clayton County public library.
  • Complete the Reading Challenges at tinyurl.com/2023readingchallenges and return the completed page to your Media Specialist in August for a special prize.
Listen to the video(s) below to learn more about how our students can get "plugged" into reading. When Clayton Reads, We All Succeed!
