When Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) students at Charles Drew High School returned from their summer vacations on August 2, 2023, they walked into a newly redesigned cafeteria. The new cafeteria redesign included newly painted walls, graphics, and furniture that depict the school’s colors, team mascot, sports, and social clubs. Students and school administrators participated in a focus group to redesign their cafeteria to express their passion and love for the Drew High School Titans. 

There are 56 Cafeteria Redesign Projects underway throughout CCPS spanning elementary, middle and high schools. The projects are scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2024. The projects are 100% Nutrition Services funded, and they are another way the CCPS Nutrition Program is enhancing services for students.
