Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Anthony W. Smith, Superintendent and Chief Educational Officer (CEO) of Schools, has been selected as a recipient of the 2023 Torch Award Honoree for the Rising in Community Excellence (RICE) Awards.

 

The 13th Annual RICE Awards, sponsored by Carter Unlimited LLC of Atlanta, are given to individuals who demonstrate keen awareness about community needs and step into the fray, lending a hand and making things better. Selected by a panel of industry professionals, community leaders, and everyday citizens, each nominee/awardee is a community leader who has used their position to develop or implement programs that have changed the face of our communities.


CCPS congratulates Superintendent/CEO Dr. Smith, on earning this recognition as a proven and consistent trailblazer in the field of education. The 2023 Rice Awards will be held at the Morrow Center on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The Morrow Center is located at 1180 Southlake Circle in Morrow, Georgia.
