Dr. Sean Antonetti

Sean Antonetti

Sean Antonetti was born in Ulm, Germany and moved to New Jersey when he was an toddler. He moved back to Germany, then California and then to Washington state before he ended up in Georgia in 1996. He attended Georgia State University for his bachelor's degree in English Literature, and received his Masters in English Education and Doctorate in Educational Leadership also from GSU.  

Before starting his public education career in Clayton County, Sean taught English Language in Japan, in a town 20 minutes outside of Tokyo, for a year and a half. Upon his return he entered the TAPP program and starting teaching at Riverdale High School, where he stayed for 6 fantastic years in which he taught 10th Grade World Literature, American Literature, Honors American Literature, 12th Grade British Literature, Advanced Placement Literature as well as helming the school newspaper and yearbook, before taking the position of Teacher Development Specialist. He was named RHS Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year.

Sean works on the Social Emotional Learning District Team with a specific focus on Mindfulness Education. 

Outside of work Sean is an avid reader with a love for graphic novels and culinary literature. He enjoys his friends and his family, which live in Clayton County, The Bronx and Brooklyn, and he also loves to travel (when he can afford it).
