William C. Greene Jr. was born and raised in Queens, N.Y. and is a product of the New York City public school system. An educator for over 30 years, Dr. Greene has served as a teacher, department chair, school principal and district level administrator.

As Executive Director for the department of Teaching and Learning he led several district initiatives to promote greater student achievement. During his tenure, freshman academies were created and placed in each of the district’s high schools. Several non-traditional programs were also established to reduce the drop-out rate, increase student attendance, address student discipline issues, and increase the district’s graduation rate.

In 2014, Dr. Greene was invited to participate as a panelist on The White House Initiative for Educational Excellence for African Americans. This summit initiated by President Barack Obama, was the first of a series of national discussions created to help accelerate national efforts to support African American students while improving opportunities for all students.

Dr. Greene received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Morehouse College, a master’s degree in the Teaching of Social Studies from Columbia University-Teachers College and both his specialist and doctoral degrees from Argosy University - Atlanta.

His educational philosophy is grounded in the premise, "Children don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care!
