
On Saturday, July 17, the Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) Department of Counseling, Enrollment and PostSecondary Readiness will host a parade, “Kindergarten Roundup for School and Literacy,” through downtown Jonesboro. The procession, which will feature school district employees riding and walking, is designed to promote new student kindergarten/school registration and literacy. The parade will begin at 8:30 a.m., stepping off near the Post Office on North Main Street and will conclude at the Lee Street Park/Lee Street Elementary School where a number of activities and giveaways are scheduled to take place.
All spectators are encouraged to view this special event following along the dedicated route. The map of the parade route and turn-by-turn instructions are attached.
