CCPS Expands Meal Services Effective 3/18
Posted on 03/17/2020

Effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) will add eleven (11) Grab-N-Go meal service locations for a total of twenty-one (21) sites to provide breakfast and lunch meals to children during the indefinite school closure. The school system has altered the service hours allowing children to pick up both breakfast and lunch at the same time. The new hours to receive meals are 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

In addition, beginning March 27, Clayton County Public Schools will partner with the Atlanta Community Food Bank to provide grocery services to the families of CCPS students at five locations. Volunteers are needed for this initiative at the five Food Bank locations and should arrive by 10:00 a.m. every Thursday until further notice to package food items. Additionally, volunteers are needed to assist in distributing the packaged food to participants and should arrive by 8:00 a.m. every Friday, at the sites until further notice. Individuals interested in assisting with this volunteer opportunity should confirm via email at ccpscommunications@clayton.k12.ga.us.

It is important to note that District Officials are continuing to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on our state and nation and will adjust plans as needed in response to changing circumstances. All updates will be communicated as they occur.
