All County Residents Asked to Participate in 2020 Census | Clayton Ranked Last in Metro County Response Rates

According to the Census Response Rate map, (https://2020census.gov/en/response-rates.html), as of May 6, 2020, 57.7% of the nation and 53.9% of Georgia residents have participated in the 2020 United States Census.

 

As Clayton County Public Schools continues in its partnership with Clayton County Government’s Clayton County Complete Count Census Committee and the U.S. Census Bureau Atlanta Regional Office, only 51% of Clayton County residents have completed the survey, ranking the Clayton as the lowest response rate of the counties in the metro area. Please see the following metro county response rates: Fayette: 69.8%, Gwinnett: 61.8%, Henry: 61.8%, Cobb: 60.9%, Cherokee: 58.8%, Spaulding: 56.5%, Dekalb: 55.9%, Fulton: 53.6%, Rockdale: 52.3%. 

 

It is our goal to achieve an 80% or higher response rate, Clayton County Public Schools encourages all residents to participate in the census utilizing the information distributed as part of our Free Grab-N-Go meals and Food Pantry Service! These informative documents are also attached to this notice. All residents can complete the 2020 Census by visiting the following link (https://my2020census.gov)!
