Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) provides limited opportunities for Clayton County students to attend district schools outside the attendance zone in which they live. These opportunities are available due to a student’s attendance at a magnet school, charter school, employee assignment, Georgia Special Needs Scholarship, School Choice, or extreme hardship. As part of these opportunities, we encourage parents/guardians to be aware that limited transportation may be provided for the above student exceptions, but it is not to be construed as a guarantee.

As Clayton County Public Schools accepts applications for the HB251, SB10, Hardship, and Employee Transfer process, please be advised of the following:

  • Schools that adhere to specific enrollment criteria such as a lottery process for student assignment or programs where students must apply to be accepted are not included in this process.  (Examples include, but are not limited to, Elite Scholars, Stillwell, Pre-K, and Magnet Programs)
  • Once the number of transfer requests has exceeded the number of available seats within each individual school site, that school will be closed for any additional request.
  • Employees with children applying for the student transfer can do so via the Rapid Identity Portal
  • Applications will be accepted until June 11, 2021.
  • Applications will not be accepted beyond the Friday, June 11, deadline for the 2021-2022 school year.

For more information please visit the “student transfer” tab of the Student Services page on the CCPS website (https://tinyurl.com/StudentTransfers). To apply, please use the following link: http://www.applyclayton.com/.
