Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) leadership is sharing a report from the National Weather Service indicating that a cold front is moving across our region this evening. This is expected to result in several rounds of showers and thunderstorms in our area throughout the weekend and into the morning of Monday, March 27.

Families who are planning activities during the weekend are advised to prepare for potential inclement conditions. As we approach Monday morning, students should prepare to dress in appropriate rain gear and carry umbrellas, if available.  It is possible that weather conditions may cause delays in bus transportation. If this occurs, parents/guardians may want to consider transporting their students to school as a way of mitigating the storm’s impact on their instructional day.

While the school district will continue to monitor conditions throughout the weekend, we encourage everyone to be safe and stay connected for updated information regarding any potential weather issues through the following outlets:

- All television and radio stations in the Metro Area
- CCPS SchoolMessenger phone and email
- CCPS Infinite Campus portal
- CCPS Information – e-blast to employees and stakeholders
- CCPS Channel 24  (accessible through the CCPS Website)
