The Clayton County Board of Education is honored to name Dr. Anthony W. Smith as Superintendent of Clayton County Public Schools. The amendment and extension of Dr. Smith's two-year contract is effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025.  Previously, the Clayton County Board of Education appointed Dr. Smith as interim Superintendent at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 school year’s first semester.
