Board of Education Adopts Unified 2020-2021 Calendar

Please find attached the 2020-2021 School Year Calendar that was adopted with a unanimous vote by the Clayton County Board of Education on Monday, May 4, 2020. The action, taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, brings the school year calendars of Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) and Elite Scholars Academy into alignment. It also identifies seven days as Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom (ELBC) Days. These days will be counted as part of the 180-day instructional calendar during which students will remain at home and participate in distance learning. The decision also states that additional Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom Days may be identified as needed or required to be determined by the Superintendent. The newly approved calendar replaces calendars that had been adopted earlier.
