Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) will pivot to remote operations on Friday, September 30, 2022, in anticipation of forecasted hazardous weather as a result of Hurricane Ian. All students will participate in asynchronous (independent learning at home) and staff will work remotely.

“Out of an abundance of caution, district leadership has decided to implement an Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom (ELBC) Day for all students and staff as we respond proactively to the impacts of Hurricane Ian,” said Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, Superintendent/CEO. “We will continue to monitor our facilities and campuses as needed with respect to potential damage caused by the storm; however, we anticipate a full face-to-face return on Monday, October 3, 2022. All stakeholders are encouraged to remain connected to the district's official platforms for updates as they will be conveyed to all in a timely manner.”
