Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) is excited to announce that Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, Superintendent/CEO of Schools and other district and school leaders, will join architects, educational, and philanthropic leaders as part of the second Reimagine America’s Schools’ National Summit on School Design: Reimagining America’s Schools and Neighborhoods. This Zoom Webinar is set for Thursday, May 12, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is open to anyone interested in connecting with the summit. This summit precedes a school design collaboration involving Clayton County Public Schools and Reimagining America’s Schools focused on Forest Park Middle School. This collaboration is funded by the Siegel Family Endowment.

Joining Superintendent Beasley as participants in this informative event are CCPS Assistant Superintendent Dr. Timothy Guiney, Principal Monique Drewry of Forest Park Middle School, and Mayor Angelyne Butler of the City of Forest Park.

For the past two years, Reimagine America’s Schools has organized dozens of opportunities bringing together educators, architects, technologists, philanthropists, mayors, urban planners, parents and students to look at how we might reimagine the institution we call school. The process involves drawing lessons from our collective experience of the pandemic, and looking forward to creating a vision of how we can work together to reimagine our schools for the future.

The May 12 summit will focus on strategies for viewing schools and their surrounding neighborhoods as a unified ecosystem and designing schools and neighborhoods for equity and inclusion, with a focus on the intersection of learning, community and technology, as well as the vital importance of multi-dimensional infrastructure to America’s future.

Input from a variety of groups and individuals is sought. Those interested in participating in this amazing event can register for free by using the following link:
