CCBOE Reads to Pre-K Students
Clayton County Board of Education Reads to Pre-K Students

In observance of Georgia Pre-K Week, the Clayton County Board of Education (CCBOE) read to 14 different Pre-Kindergarten classrooms during the week of October 12-16, 2020. The initiative connected the Board with Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) youngest students. Books about socks, costumed dogs, and construction vehicles taking baths were among those read to the students.
Members of the Board participating were Board Chair Ms. Jessie Goree, District 3; Board Vice Chair Dr. Alieka Anderson, District 8; Ms. Jasmine Bowles, District 1; Mr. Mark Christmas, District 2; Ms. Victoria Williams, District 4; Ms. Mary Baker; District 6; and Mr. Benjamin Straker, District 9. Also participating were primary election winners Dr. Dee Haney, District 5 and Ms. Sabrina Hill, District 7. The Board extends its appreciation to the Early Learning Department, under the leadership of Dr. Joye Bradley - Coordinator, and Dr. Sharnette Dennis - Instructional Specialist, Pre-K teachers, and students for an outstanding week!
