Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) announces that it will institute an early dismissal schedule for high school students taking final exams on Thursday and Friday, December 16-17, 2021. All high school students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. Students at the elementary and middle school levels will be dismissed using the regular schedule on those dates.

“The decision to implement this early dismissal schedule is aligned with the exam schedule at the high school level,” said Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, CCPS Superintendent/CEO. “The adjusted time is not expected to have a negative effect on dismissal at the elementary or middle school levels.”

The district will return to a regular dismissal schedule for all grade levels when students return for the start of the second semester on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
